Human Concerns

MISSION STATEMENT:  To discern the needs of people of Divine Mercy and South Milwaukee – especially the poor – and identify resources to meet those needs while enlisting the active support and participation of members of Divine Mercy Parish.  Responsible for organizing members or ministry teams in order to address specific activities/projects.

MEETING SCHEDULE:  First Thursday of each month

MEETING LOCATION:  Divine Mercy Gathering Space, 800 Marquette Avenue Campus

PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Share Sunday – organizations which collections benefit – Cathi Maletta

• Partners in Faith and Friendship (the people of Guatemala and support education of youth and services for senior citizens). – Patty Robinson & Bill Fenger

• St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program – Manny Torres

• St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry – Priscilla Malek

• Homeless Ministries – Kim Anderson

• Willowcrest Nursing Home Ministries -  Kim Anderson

• Respect Life – Kim Anderson

• Grief Support and Bereavement – Paula McKean and Laurie Nerat

• Christmas Giving Tree – Rose Flores

• Habitat for Humanity – Holly Haskins
